Le Petit Chevalier
High Wolf makes music like no one else on the planet. He claims to be from the Amazon and all his activities are shrouded in mystery. In either case he conjours mystic tropical clouds of repetition and build that, while complex, are never hard to listen to. The music seems to tap into a primal frequency and demands listeners to dance. High Wolf uses loops, percussive sounds, fuzzy keyboards and obscure sunken melodies to create a ritual space that combines aspects of exotica, ethno-flux, drone and minimalism. Records and tapes out on loads of hip labels like Not Not Fun ( Sun Araw, Ducktails etc.), Group Tightener, Bathetic and his own Winged Sun imprint.
Ensemble Economique’s the looping, drugged-out amazing solo project of Starving Weirdos’ Brian Pyle

CHARLES HAYWARD (uk)
Five reasons to go and see Charles Hayward
1: He’s a drummer
But, like jazz percussionist Han Bennink, Can’s Jaki Liebezeit and improvisational drummer Chris Corsano, he’s so much more, as this solo show should prove.
2: He was in This Heat
In 1976, Hayward, Charles Bullen and Gareth Williams applied tape loop experiments and free improv to an insistent melding of musique concrète, DIY dub and rhythm-led discordia. This Heat’s eponymous debut album, (‘The Blue and Yellow’) came in a blue and yellow sleeve that inspired an aphoristic ad campaign, with charming slogans like, ‘Blue and yellow like bruise and pus’, and that sort of thing.
3: He is the bridge between Roxy Music and Hot Chip
Hayward played in Quiet Sun with a pre-Roxy Phil Manzanara, followed by a brief stint in Gong. He later moved through the post-punk Rough Trade squat-rock scene via The Raincoats, Everything But The Girl and Lora Logic. He even gigged with anarchist punks Crass.
4: He keeps good company
Hayward has played with German polymath Heiner Goebbels, formed Massacre with experimental rockers Bill Laswell and Fred Frith, gigged with Ted Milton’s Blurt and released an album with Lol Coxhill, Hugh Hopper and Robert Wyatt.
5: What was that about Hot Chip?
Following a collaboration with Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor and Spring Heel Jack’s John Coxon on the About album, Hayward guested on the band’s One Life Stand album, providing the Motown backbeat on ‘Hand Me Down Your Love.’
BARBEROS are a 4 piece audiovisual electro / noise band from Liverpool, UK
Their music has been described as math/terror/doom/jazz/electronica, with very danceable breakdowns cutting through intermittently throughout the over all technical polly rhythmical, syncopated drum-dominated noise filled performance they deliver with their line up of two acoustic drum kits, synths and live visuals.
All these factors, along with the costumes they wear (head to toe white spandex bodysuits), add to the band’s very impressive overall theatrical performance, which fits perfectly both on the small, and (preferably!) the large stage.
Return of the original spirit foxes, always in tune with creation

THE MEN (usa)
The Men are a seriously loud noise punk band from Brooklyn. Their new album Leave Home came out earlier this summer on Sacred Bones, and the production is so overtly distorted, it pretty much feels like you’re listening to a car crash. We take it these boys will certainly bring the house down during live shows, so let’s hope they’re planning a European tour some time soon. In the meantime get your hands on the record. It’s worth it. We are The Men --> http://wearethemen.blogspot.com/

Eténèsh Wassié & Mathieu Sourisseau
The Ethiopian repertoire revisited with pop, rock ‘n’ roll and punk melodies, creating
a musical « gap » which reveals the essence of that particular type of music.
Eténèsh's voice, wild and secret, takes you into a very rare universe. The Duo plays
a contained, self controlled music, makes fun of the gap between genres, and
breaks the codes of the traditional Ethiopian songs chosen by Eténèsh Wassié, who
was raised and fed on Azmari culture, and whose open-mind and experience show
of a successful artistic risk-taking.
Asnake Guebreyes and uKanDanZ
A meeting between an electric quartet and Asnake Guebreyes. You might
remember Asnake from the magic Mohammed Jimmy Mohammed trio. With Jimmy
Asnake was drumming and singing, with uKanDanZ Asnake leads the band. He still
lives in Addis Abeba and plays in the night clubs every night. The music is inspired
by traditional and popular Ethiopian songs which they take with impertinence and
play wildly. With guitar, saxophone, keyboards, drums and vocals they bring the
