You know, that place in Amsterdam on the south side of the Vondelpark, where you spend long nights in the Bollox, danced endlessly in the OCCII, where the vegan food of the MKZ made you crave for more, where the Anarcho-Syndicalist Union treated you with readings, where you rehearsed with your DIY band in the Krakende Notenpret, or you managed to lay your hands on some anarcho literature in the AGA library, the place where recording studio RPM always kept the promise for the future alive, where children theatre Munganga surprised you, where hackers of the LAG organised offline discussions, where children had hours of fun with the Kinderpret, the inner garden where you gathered for some exciting action, where the artists and crafts(wo)men stepped out of their social frames.
The place where there is always something going on, it’s the place where we can never wait until tomorow.
The fokking Binnenpret.
In these times of moral emptiness in the city, the time arrived to celebrate the 30-year existence of the Binnenpret. Squatted in 1984 and in 2014 still alive, full of energy and ready for the future.
Er is iemand jarig.
Jeweetwel, die plek in Amsterdam aan de zuidkant van het Vondelpark, waar je nachtenlang door zat te zakken in de Bollox, eindeloos danste in de OCCII, waar het veganistische eten je het water in de mond deed lopen in de MKZ, waar de Anarcho-Syndicalistische Bond je op lezingen trakteerde,
waar je met je eerste bandje oefende in de Krakende Notenpret, of je hand wist te leggen op wat anarch-oliteratuur in de Bieb van de AGA, die plek waar de geluids-studio RPM altijd de belofte voor de toekomst in ere hield,
waar het kindertheater Munganga je verraste, waar hackers van het LAG offline discussies organiseerden, waar kinderen zich urenlang vermaakten met de Kinderpret, het plein waar je voorverzamelde voor een spannende actie, waar de kunstenaars en ambachtslieden buiten hun sociale kaders traden……..
De plek waar altijd wat te doen is, is de plek waar we nooit kunnen wachten tot morgen.
De fokkin Binnenpret.
In deze tijden van morele leegstand in de stad is het moment aangebroken om het 30-jarige bestaan van de Binnenpret te vieren. In 1984 gekraakt en in 2014 nog levend, vol energie en klaar voor de toekomst.
