BLISSMAL: Aestrid // geronimo // The Pool of Tears

This will be the first edition of BLISSMAL, a lovely display of underground bands in genres like shoegaze, dream pop, noise pop and post-punk.

On the day after valentines we’re organizing an evening for lovers of dreamy vocals, fuzz, reverb, ethereal sounds and the like. This first edition will feature three bands whose members all currently reside the Netherlands.

This event is powered by Geregeld Ontregeld, a collective of young organizers, programmers and other creative minds based in Amsterdam.

AESTRID

Aestrid is a three-piece band from Utrecht, the Netherlands. Their sound balances between post-punk and ambient music meeting the wideness of shoegaze in the middle. Whether it is about the randomness while improvising, or the perfectionism that used to rule the early days of the band, Aestrid is always about the feeling that remains.

GERONIMO

geronimo is an alternative-pop band from Santiago de Chile, currently settled in Rotterdam, Netherlands. At the moment, the band is working on a new album.

THE POOL OF TEARS

The Pool Of Tears is an instrumental nedergaze, post-rock, blackgaze band from Almere, The Netherlands. Named after the second chapter of Lewis Caroll’s novel “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. Formed in early 2017 by Gene Teysse. Inspired by many 90’s/00’s shoegaze, post-rock, coldwave bands like Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Mogwai, Chapterhouse, Ellysgarden & The Last Days.
