Duke Garwood, Britain’s poet of feedback-smoked blues guitar, returns to OCCII on July 4th, 2019 for a special collaboration with the Amsterdam-based world boogie rhythm section of Franciso Rosaly (USA) on drums and Aaron Lumley (CA) on double bass. Freshly returned from obliterating jazz festivals across Canada, power trio Cactus Truck –featuring John Dikeman, Jasper Stadhouders and Onno Govaert– will kick off the night in high style.

Duke Garwood is a London-based multi-instrumentalist and recording artist whose expertise on a wide range of instruments has brought him to work with an eclectic range of musicians from Mark Lanegan to the Master Musicians of Jajouka. Garwood’s own music is rooted in the blues, generating a dark and spectral sound full of late-night atmosphere on acclaimed albums like 2014’s Heavy Love and 2017’s Garden of Ashes on Heavenly Recordings.
