A very exciting part of the festival is coming up soon on the 7th of May: THE SPEED BANDMATING EVENT!!!
The goal of this evening will be to form bands with the people you’ll be meeting during this event in order to perform together for the final show of the festival on the 28th of June. Regardless of whether you’ve taken part in any of the workshops or not, you are more than welcome to join us in creating the sickest, coolest and most DIY new bands Amsterdam has ever seen!!
The Speed Bandmating Event is a great opportunity to meet fellow amateur or experienced musicians who you can share your artistic vision with and hopefully bring it to life together!
As one of the goal of the First Timers Fest Amsterdam is to diversify the DIY music scene, we aim for each band to include at least one person with limited to none musical/performance experience, and at least one person who belongs to a marginalized group. This information will be explained during the event as well, and more details can be found in our FAQ post (pinned).
