KEITH MOSFET
Canadian artist Keith Mosfet has been on a journey of self discovery through traveling countries, and learning from new cultures. Now calling Amsterdam, Netherlands home. He is the definition of an “artist”. Using inspiration from impressionist oil paintings and combining his background in electronic engineering, Keith took on the challenge of writing, recording and mixing his whole catalog music from his 2019 Album “Superficial Hypocrite”, his 2020 EP “Breathe”, then continued to release singles throughout 2020/21.
On his newest 2021 single “I’ve got this feeling”, Keith shares a deeper, darker side. The single shares his experience with life long depression and dealing with the death of his brother. “Its an anthem for those of us with suicidal thoughts or have lost a loved one. Its about taking control of that pain and learning to grow with it and be content.”
Clearly heard in Keith’s new single are his influences Tame Impala, MGMT, Jack White and Cage the Elephant but with his own unique, psychedelic twist, using vocal effects and layering synthesizers to showcase his unique artistry. The powerful backup vocals are artist Heather Mazhar from Beams. Recording remotely in her home studio she was able to capture magic inspired from Merry Clayton of The Rolling Stones Gimmie Shelter.
ROLODEX
Unapologetically individual is a term that describes the Amsterdam-based band Rolodex to a T. The band combines influences from various genres including psychedelic rock, post-punk, latin and funk to create something completely new. Soaring synthesizers, driven guitars, tight grooving drums and catchy melodies give Rolodex a distinct danceable sound with an edge. In Rolodex’s music we can find a bit of everyone, and something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood to celebrate, in the mood to fight, or simply in the mood for a solid tune, Rolodex will not disappoint.
MAMA ROUX
How do you do? We’re Mama Roux.
We’re a three-piece rock band that’s been cooking our roux for some time in our fully analog studio in Amsterdam. Inhibited by lockdowns, pandemics and the inability to play live, we’ve shaken up quite an energetic dish of groove.
Take a solid base of garage rock drums, add some groovy basslines and an overdose of bluesy guitar goodness, and top it off with a pinch of raw and unapologetic vocals. All of this comes together in a raw and earthy sound, set to make you move, groove and let loose.
