Belgian’s Meakusma Festival Present… 3 fine electronic acts.

A widescreen line-up showcasing a shadowy corner of the touring electronic underground.  A collaboration between OCCII and the renowned curators Meakusma (the impeccably well programmed yearly festival and superb record label).

Wilted Woman (USA)

The primary alias of  Elizabeth Davis. WW’s sound is one of interplay of technological limitation, algorithmic processes, and human expression/intervention as subject matter. Releasing music since 2014 both solo and collaborative (20 records to date) her output defies categorization, ranging from minimalist electroacoustics and chamber music to harsh noise and dance music. She has presented her work at venues and festivals across the globe.  Davis also works as a sound designer, engineer, and radio producer. She previously ran a label called untergang-institut and co-curates a monthly concert series at KM28 with Bridget Ferrill. Davis builds all kinds of instruments and lectures on sound-adjacent topics, most recently at the UdK Berlin. She currently lives in Berlin, Germany.

Sagat (BE)

Steadily making a name for himself with a grip of releases and performances all over, Sagat rolls into OCCII with his lanky, bass heavy live show. Harmonic, tripped out and rhythmic – perfect on a big sound. He’s got a fresh album out on the excellent VLEK Recordings which is very much worth checking out, as is his recent single on Lexi Disques.

TBZ (DE)

From Cologne, Germany – his solo performances are unpredictable (as they are infrequent) and consistently leave a lasting impression. Expect an amalgam of styles and tempo imbued with an outsider B-Boy mentality. Next to producing his own small vinyl runs, he’s released music on Stenz Quo, R=A and  on Amsterdam’s Brew Records. As a collaborator, he’s appeared at OCCii numerous times before (most recently in ‘dance duo’ Bathtub).  He has taken on various roles including being the guiding force behind the (con)fusion music trio Montel Palmer, as well as shredding mobile phones with GRRRR and formerly serving as a scratch-sidekick in Devon Rexi, with work released on labels such as Planet Rescue, South Of North and Tax Free.
