Hana Stretton

Hana made her debut record ‘Soonʼ outside, in still moments after bushfires and wild storms had raged through her home in the Australian bush. Completely isolated with just her beloved cows and a few instruments; recording “Soon” became a way to digest grief alongside natures chorus. Hana has been likened to artists such as Grouper, Vashti Bunyan, The Microphones and Alex G. Soon has been played on radio by Chicagoʼs KRANKY label, Cillian Murphyʼs BBC6 show and Maria Somervilleʼs NTS show to name a few. Hana has a dedicated fanbase, spread worldwide. Soon sold out of all
records within weeks of her release and Spotify has tallied over 2 million plays just since her release in January. At live shows, you can see Hana playing classical guitar, percussion, tape loops, drone and building imaginary choirs.

“Soon feels like it comes into my world on a night wind and has belonged there since forever, unexpected.” – PHIL ELVERUM (Mount Eerie & The Microphones)

Till Hormann

Till Hormann is a saxophone player and composer based in Amsterdam who, with his first EP “The way sound moves drawing over and over the blueprint of a loop for every situation” (BBJTC, 2023), introduced  a cathartic yet melancholic sound of music. His ambient soundscapes are a mix of spiritual Jazz, soothing experimental and dark folk. This year he has released together with Mitko Mitkov and Jonas Hinnerkort “Composition for Still Lifes, Vanitas and Wind Instruments” (BBJTC, 2024). An experimental ambient jazz release that melts together spoken words with instrumental soundscapes.

&The

&The started when Joost showed John some of their indie emo riffs. The Irish folk style of John’s mandolin playing proved to be a surprising, but perfect fit. After a while Paqui was added on vocals and with her wide range adding another layer to the already diverse sonic palette. Partially rough-edged, partially intricate, &The weave songs with toil and care, like a sturdy and comforting hug or a blanket when you’re napping on the couch. As they’re playing a week later as well, this set will focus on their more quiet songs.
