Why Radical Body Love?
Our bodies are continually subjected to violent notions of what it means to be “normal” or “desirable”. Gender, race, size, orientation, perceived health and ability, among other things, determine how we relate to our bodies on a personal level in the face of such culturally constructed norms. On the 30th of August, Redmond wants to show you what it looks like to RESIST body shame and instead make room for A NEW POLITICS OF BODY LOVE that radically accepts each and every body as valid in and for itself.
