Sans Froid

Formally known as Sang Froid prior to announcing their name change just today, ‘The Still’ see’s the Bristolian art-prog quartet stepping boldly into the future whilst retaining those idiosyncratic sensibilities that made them such an alluring entity from the offset. Born forth from the fertile ley line of creativity also inhabited by contemporaries such as PEACH, Chiyoda Ku, CLT DRP, Voronoi and Sugar Horse, ‘The Still’ is a deeply possessive shawl of noise, one that circumvents genre in thanks to it’s off-kilter rhythm, jazz-orientated drive and the impassioned, enfolding vocals of Aisling Whiting. Yet, despite it’s shadowed presentation, it’s also a track of optimism and hope, one that urges oneself to take the time to breathe, mediate and search for light in increasingly dark times such as these. Frankly, it’s a testament to the unfettered sense of dichotomy inherent to Sans Froid craft and a track that pays further credence to this brilliant band’s approach to musical innovation.

De Rotte Appels

Shavero Ferrier founded De Rotte Appels in 2009 with Gerold Sewcharan on drums and Kevin Reyke on bass. In 2011, after moving to Nickerie, he reformed the band with his brother Kevin Ferrier on bass and Mitchell Kong Jong Foek on drums. The band recorded their single “Punker!!!!” in 2012 for the Punk’s Not Deaf Vol. 1 compilation album. Shavero is now preparing to reform De Rotte Appels in the Netherlands during his trip in October/November 2024 for the documentary Tra Fasi, reuniting with original drummer Gerold Sewcharan.

Cabbage Ego Death

Cabbage Ego Death is an post-apocalyptic electronic bio-punk duo from CabbageTown.
Arising from the compost hills, they bring cabbagy poetry conserved in grandma’s recipe.
