True Dreams
True Dreams is a feminist garage punk guitar and drums duo, uniquely sharing lead vocals. Formed in Brooklyn in 2016, True Dreams combines bratty snarls, guttural screams, and empowering chants with sweet melodies and primal drum beats. Angela Carlucci (guitar, vox) of Herman Dune, and Hannah Nichols (drums, vox) contribute equally to the project as songwriters.
The Johns
The Johns are a musically groovy, visually striking, and lyrically unprecedented garage tropicalia band from New York City. The band combines the complexity and insight of the Silver Jews with the immediacy, economy, and seaside sensibilities of The Ramones and the softly intricate rhythms of the Caribbean music heard at every bodega in town.
Combo Qazam
Combo Qazam is operating on the crossroads of analog and digital, old and new, hope and fear. The band from Utrecht can sound mechanical and humane at the same time. Prog-like perfection goes hand in hand with Pavementesque dissonance. The beat is leading you through eerie melodies, with hints at postpunk, mathrock, kraut and noise.
LOGOUT
Singer, songwriter and producer LOGOUT merges traditional folk songwriting with experimental and electronic instrumentation. Third album N91° is packed with minimalistic synth pop hits from an alternate universe, interspersed with ambient soundscapes.
