G.E.K. (Gud Er Kvinde)

The intense improvised outlet from the two jazz imprisoned horns lead you towards noise.

Johannes Lund & Maria Bertel (Selvhenter) push their saxophone and trombone with a tangle of structures that creates the core of the duo’s music. G.E.K. are part of the essential experimental music scene, centred around the independent venue, Mayhem in Copenhagen. The bandmembers has put out several releases on the Danish collectives ‘yoyooyoy’ and ’egetværelse’, both individually as well as the self-titled ‘Gud Er Kvinde’ 10″ in 2008.

Father Murphy is the sound of the Catholic sense of Guilt.
A downward spiral aiming at the bottom of the hollow, and then digging even deeper.
Father Murphy over the years became one of the most mysterious and enigmatic musical entities coming out of Italy, part of that community that Simon Reynolds and Julian Cope started to call the new “Italian Occult Psychedelia”.

Album; “Anyway, your children will deny it!”
Super atmospheric, ominous clattery percussion-heavy soundscapey rock from Italy. Male and female vocals. DARK!

Manuel Padding from den haag is comming to the OCCII and we are happy to welcome him.
This amazing artist from Den Haag keeps re-inventing his musical and artistic ideas and it is always
a pleasure to see what he comes up with. For this show he will present a slide show accompanied by vocals and noises.
