L’Orchidée Cosmique : One Man Band/bass/fuzz/synth/looper – Ambient/Noise/Space/Post-Rock – from Chambéry (FR)
It has been since the end of 2015 that the one-man band, L’Orchidée Cosmique makes gravitate its riffs in orbit around planet Earth. Alone on board, Flo distills with its bass, its synth and its pedals of effects a musical mix that calls as much for the peaceful trips in weightlessness as for the rough landings of fortune.
A flight plan between Mogwai’s leaded post-rock, the Sonic Youth noise emergency or A Place To Bury Strangers, and the magnetic fuzz of Melvins. Pieces are sometimes complex, often tortuous, but on arrival always accessible music.

Luka Schuurman:
The music of Amsterdam based composer and improviser Luka Schuurman transports the listener to a different cinematic landscape, of time – or the lack thereof. Whether with the guitar, effects or a crackling radio, Schuurman experiments and paints soundworlds that are as human and intimate as they are otherworldly and transcendental. His latest album ‘Translucid’ features Schuurman experimenting with his voice in choir-esque whirlpools of sound and noise. Always in search of new acoustic territory, a concert of Schuurman can never be predicted whether he performs solo, in any collaboration, with his ensemble De Ervaring or as a member of experimental music outfit Halli Crigi.
