PANTERPRINT (EP Release) + SNACKBAR + KBOY EN DE GOEDZO JONGENS + DJ FATIMA SUPREME
+ BOEKLEZING: ‘GRRRL ON THE ROAD’ BY MANUPALOOZA
Amsterdam garagepunx quartet SNACKBAR combines noisy garage with real-life Dutch lyrics into loud and short songs: it’s just like fastfood for the ears.
After two years of being forced to indulge their creative urge on YouTube, Panterprint is now storming many stages with their energetic synth punk show. They sing about their diva life in songs about hangovers, sweat and fights in Ikea. The answer to the void between the Raggende Manne and Merol is Panterprint!
KBOY EN DE GOEDZO JONGENS
You may or may not know kboy en de goedzo jongens from their debut EP ‘MUKUS MENSENSLIJM’. Or maybe you know them from that time they bummed a ciggie off you. This childish post-punk band (which means shouting about
boobs etc.) is a big fan of artists like The Garden, The B-52’s, Kleenex and Cake. Are you a fan of those bands as well and do you have somewhat low standards? Then come and have a look!
Manuela Uggiano aka Manupalooza, Neapolitan, moved to the Netherlands as a teenage punkrocker end 1990s and has been active in the DIY music scene ever since. Always with one foot in the underground and one in the mainstream, after longer and shorter spells in riotgrrrl, ladyfest, squatting, playing in bands and running underground freespace venues, she one day just packed up and left to see the world: alone. Tonight at Occii, she will tell of these adventures during the reading from her upcoming book “GRRRL ON THE ROAD”.
