Experimental rock trio YOO DOO RIGHT (Montréal, CA) wed noisy, melodic guitar parts, effect-heavy synthesizer soundscapes, deep bass grooves and patented percussive furies into a literal wall of sound. In their honest approach to experimentation, they engage with elements of krautrock, shoegaze, post-rock and psychedelia, crafting a unique sound that could be described as a “car crash in slow motion”. Over the years, Yoo Doo Right have toured all of Canada, the United States as well as Europe, playing festivals such as SXSW, Levitation Psych Fest, M for Montreal, Sled Island and Treefort Festival, while sharing the stage with the likes of Acid Mothers Temple, DIIV, A Place to Bury Strangers, Wooden Shjips, Kikagaku Moyo, FACS, FRIGS and Jessica Moss, amongst others. Yoo Doo Right’s forthcoming LP, A Murmur, Boundless To The East, recorded with visionary producer Radwan Ghazi Moumneh (Suuns, Ought, Fly Pan Am) at Hotel2Tango and mixed by Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets (Battles, Lightning Bolt, Lingua Ignota), is all at once a heartfelt salute to infinity and a critique of one’s shortcomings.

KY is the new project of Ky Brooks, best known as the vocalist of the noise-punk trio Lungbutter and a slew of other Montréal-based out-music projects like 8-person queer punk band Femmaggots and experimental/improv trio Nag..
Ky’s significant role in the Montréal experimental music scene dates back to the early 2010’s when they co-founded the DIY space La Plante, a cultural hub where music and community came together and which became a launching point for their musical forays in the subsequent decade.

Here, along with weirdo music mainstays James Goddard (Skin Tone, Egyptian Cotton Arkestra), Mathieu Ball (Big | Brave), Robert Grieve (Blastronaut) and Farley Miller (Feefawfum, Shining Wizard), they present Power Is The Pharmacy, an album of cerebral and visceral outsider artpunk. This emotionally electrifying collection of songs delivers an acute blend of incisive socio-political observation and spiritual sadness, swirling through disenchantment and re-enchantment. The band released their debut album on Constellation Records.
