RAZMOTCHIKI KATUSHEK [RU] + HOMEMADE EMPIRE [NL] + GENEVIEVE MURPHY & ANDY MOOR [GB/NL]
RAZMOTCHIKI KATUSHEK is an industrial electro duo, conceived and nurtured by two seasoned masters of the experimental scene: Ekaterina Fedorova (Iva Nova, ZGA, FIGS) and Remko Muermans (ex-ZEA, Holland). For several years they have been meticulously assembling and connecting the conceptual forms of electronics and industrial into an organic symbiosis, presenting the audience with a deeply original product at the intersection of these two worlds of music. These two veterans of the stage will immerse you in a balmy world of analogue effects, live and electronic rhythm, domestic noise and the positive constructivism of soothing factory sounds.
HOMEMADE EMPIRE is a DIY recording project of Dutch guitarist and singer Bart de Kroon. His songs resemble landscapes, occasionally hinting at a traditional song structure, but with heaps of space for improvisation, dissonance, rubato and whatever. Some singing, some dancing. A brand new album ‘Fog Rolls In’ was released in 2021 on Subroutine Records.
GENEVIEVE MURPHY & ANDY MOOR live in Amsterdam. And yet their first encounter took place somewhere between poetry and intuition. In OCCII, the spoken word performer from Scotland and the English guitarist will be performing “The One I Feed”: a work they created together that serves as a parable of the destructive forces in all of us and of the eternal struggle between good and evil. While Moor brushes, caresses and scratches at his electric guitar, Murphy tells a dazzling tale – a legend as old as mankind itself. Who will win in the end? That all depends on which of the two forces we choose to feed.
