Universal Indians present Nihil is Now on Stone Floor Records (NO)

Universal Indians will be releasing their first CD on the Norwegian Stone Floor Records: Nihil Is Now. The trio draws heavily from the history of free jazz, taking it's name from an Albert Ayler composition, but unbound by tradition.

Jooklo Duo is a power sax/drum duo from Italy. “Coming at free jazz from psych rock, Jooklo Duo hones in on the mystical sound of Coltrane and Ayler, and plays its own enthusiastic, lo-fi version.” They've toured extensively with the likes of Bill Nace, Chris Corsano, Paul Flaherty...

Jooklo Duo :
Virginia Genta is self-taught and plays saxophone (tenor, soprano, baritone, alto), flutes, clarinet, plus some percussion and keyboards + drummer and percussionist David Vanzan.

DJ Morsanek will be spinning shiny black objects after and in between sets.

Bassculture rides again with Miaaauw soundz part VI at the OCCII
This time we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the OCCII!!
Bassculture Amsterdam is proud to bring a night full of vinylrecord only
releases. Dj Marcelle is bringing her 3rd double lp at the Klangbad label
in Berlin. Four sides of vinyl with her mixes inna 'another nice mess'
style.
Istari Lasterfahrer is the founder and selector of his Hamburg musiclabel;
Sozialistischer-plattenbau. On his label you will find collaborations from
Dubcore to heavy digital roots...all wrongs deserved!
On this night he is presenting his lp; Classles Kulla & Istari Lasterfahrer.
Also the on his label is the collaboration 12" vinyl only; Dub Carusseles
from Selektor Depender & Filtercutter. This 12" release is an heavy fusion
of dubstep and digi dub, with strong reggae/rasta influence. Filtercutter
(aka Stefan Miletic) is producer/beatmaker curently based in Belgrade
(Serbia).

G.W. Sok, co-founder and vocalist of The Ex for 30 years, decided to leave the renowned Dutch independent band in late 2008. He felt it was time for a change, and he embarked in 2009 on a travel through graphic design and theatre. During the course of that year, however, he got drawn back to making music, and in 2010 he started a collaboration with Cannibales & Vahinés, a threepiece from Toulouse, France.
Next to G.W. Sok, Cannibales & Vahinés consists furthermore of Marc Démereau and Fabien Duscombs (both also members of the Toulousean combos La Friture Moderne and Le Tigre des Platanes), plus Nicolas Lafourest (Seconde Méthode).
Cannibales & Vahinés today means a true marriage, a mix of punk energy, improv, rock, poetry, stories, statements, and atmospheric noise. They are melodic and unpredictable, sometimes loud, sometimes jazzy, and sensitive, powerful and generous.
